What should I use to clean my nana's antique lamps?

I don't know what they're made of. They're not glass. They're painted a pale blue. I think they're like 30-40 years old or something. They've been in her basement storage room for a long time and have a lot of dust. I'm going to put them in my room but want to clean them first. Should I use all purpose spray and a cloth?
